Marta Illueca, MD, MSc, PhD

The Rev. Dr. Illueca was born in New York and grew up in Central America. A physician and bi-vocational priest, she holds post doctoral graduate degrees from Cornell University Medical College, Yale Divinity School and Tufts University. Her research is on spiritual wellness and healing with focusing on the use of prayer as a therapeutic intervention for chronic pain. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, she currently is deployed to the Brandywine Collaborative Ministries in Wilmington. Marta who is fluent in Spanish, grew up in a multicultural environment.
