Samantha Marie Meints, Phd

As a pain psychologist, Dr. Meints is broadly interested in psychosocial factors that influence the experience and treatment of painful conditions. She hopes to better understand (1) the biobehavioral mechanisms driving racial and ethnic pain disparities and (2) develop tailored psychosocial treatments to prevent the development of chronic postoperative pain. Ultimately, Dr. Meints hopes to improve pain-related outcomes while establishing more cost-effective treatment strategies.
